A Home With A View
This beautiful three-storey Mosman home overlooks stunning Middle Harbour in Sydney. The young family loves to sit outside on their first level deck to enjoy Sunday brunches or entertaining friends and family in the evening.
The problem was that the north-facing deck would get very hot and sunny during the day, making it difficult to sit outside for long periods of time. Similarly in the evening, the harbour breeze would cause some discomfort on those cooler evenings.
Aalta installed a motorised BX260 Folding Arm Awning to provide shade without obstructing the view. When the awning is retracted all components are totally hidden inside the contemporary cassette that is synonymous with Aalta’s BX series folding arm awnings and there are no supporting structures seen. Six modern slimline radiant heaters were mounted flush onto the soffit so that all unsightly wires and mechanisms were out of sight.
On the upper deck the master suite and en-suite was quite exposed to the sun and also to passers-by or neighbours. The installation of a motorised drop arm awning has given them relief from the sun as well as privacy.
The result is a beautiful home with a view where the family can enjoy their outside living area morning, noon and night in comfort and style as be assured of privacy where they need it.
